Bio

Rob grew up in the small mountain town of Telluride, Colorado, nestled high up in the Rocky Mountains.

Every year when the external-icon Telluride Film Festival took root, his love for contemporary cinema found an interesting counterpart in the art-house, independent, and classic films screened yearly. Itching to make films of his own, Rob picked up a camera and started making movies with his friends.

In college at the University of California Santa Cruz, Rob needed an escape from film theory and critical studies and founded the Moxie Production Group, which organized dozens of students from all across campus in an effort to combine their ambitions and collaborate on vastly larger projects.

Manning the front line in the battle between student filmmaking and every conceivable technical, financial, and creative hurdle, Rob found solace in the blank page.

Free to tell any story he wanted, screenwriting provided rewarding creative release. After earning his degree in Film & Digital Media, Rob took on a coveted internship with the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences while he continued to write feverishly, honing his voice and discovering his process.

Today, Rob’s unique screenplays have gone on to garner recognition and awards in a number of screenwriting competitions, including (among others) the Bronze Prize at the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, Second Place at the Cinequest Film Festival, Top Three at the Austin Film Festival two years running, and two semifinalist placements in the prestigious Nicholl’s Fellowship.
